This one-day workshop is for those with some previous experience in sewing who are looking to improve their skills. It will guide you through a number of really useful machine and hand sewing techniques such as French seams, covered buttons, blind hems and overcasting. All equipment such as sewing machines, scissors, patterns and materials are provided as well as expert guidance and inspiration as you work on your creation. Choose from a range of projects such as cushion cover, tote or duffle bag, apron, peg bag or a simple soft toy, or if you have an idea of your own for a project, just let me know when you book, bring it along and I’ll be happy to help get you started on it.
A range of materials and patterns will be provided but if you have any pieces of fabric or trim you especially wish to use bring them along and I will happily help you incorporate them.
Sessions are kept to a maximum of 6 people to ensure everyone can learn at their own pace. Groups and parties welcome see the Special Sessions page.
