Venue: Courses are being held at Hartley Antiques, Miss Maker's sewing room is located on the top floor of this wonderful emporium located in the picturesque village of Hartley Wintney, Hampshire.

This course is a must for anyone who wants to begin dressmaking. During the day we will use a simple pattern to produce a pair of pyjama bottoms (shorts or trousers is up to you!). During the morning we will go through how to check your measurements against the pattern and choose the correct size, how and where to make any necessary alterations to the pattern, and how to accurately cut your pattern pieces. After lunch you will piece together, sew and finish your pyjama bottoms to take home with you.

Included in the price is a pattern that includes not only the pyjama bottoms, but matching tops for you to use your new found skills and confidence to make at home.

All materials and patterns will be provided but if you have any pieces of fabric or trim you especially wish to use bring them along and I will happily help you incorporate them.

Sessions are kept to a maximum of 6 people to ensure everyone can learn at their own pace. Groups and parties welcome see the Special Sessions page.
